Who it is for

Built for the leaders who own appraisal

Yes, if you are:

  • A principal or head of school writing or replacing an appraisal policy
  • A deputy or assistant head responsible for teaching quality
  • An HR lead or governor who needs a fair, defensible process
  • A school preparing for inspection or accreditation

The policy puts development first. Teachers know what is being looked at, get prompt and useful feedback, and receive real support early when it matters. Reviewers share one rubric and one calibration process, so judgements are consistent across the school.

  • The same policy as a finished PDF
  • Ten forms as a fillable PDF with 352 fields

From our founder

Why I wrote this pack

I’m Jacques Tredoux. I have worked in education for more than twenty years, including more than a decade as a principal, and I have led schools in three countries and chaired international accreditation visiting teams. Appraisal works when teachers trust it. I wrote this policy so that schools can adopt a process that is fair, open and genuinely developmental, without starting from a blank page.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What exactly do I download?

One ZIP file with the 44-page policy in Word and PDF, the ten forms as a fillable PDF, a one-page Start Here guide and your licence. You can download it straight after checkout.

Is it fully editable?

Yes. The policy is a normal Word document. Every placeholder, such as [School Name], is highlighted so you can find and replace it in minutes, and every timescale in square brackets can be changed to suit your contracts.

Will it work for our curriculum?

Yes. It was written for international, British, American, IB and national schools from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The rubric describes teaching practice, not a particular curriculum.

Can we use it across our group of schools?

Each licence covers one school or one campus. For a group of schools, please buy one licence for each school or campus, or contact us and we will help.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is a professional template based on widely recognised good practice. Please obtain local HR or legal approval before adopting the capability and appeals sections, and check every timescale against your staff contracts and local labour law.

Can I see inside before I buy?

Yes. The previews on this page show real pages from the pack, including the contents, the rubric, a form and a worked example. If you have a question, email us or send a WhatsApp message.
