By using this website or buying from us, you agree to these terms. Please read them with our privacy policy.
Using this website
You may use this website for your own professional learning and to find out about our services. Please do not misuse it, copy it wholesale, or try to access parts of it that are not public. We may update or withdraw any part of the site without notice.
What we sell and where
- Online courses, bundles and the Leaders’ Circle, through our online school on Thinkific.
- Digital resources, such as Northbeam Kids teacher packs, INSET packs and leadership toolkits, through our online school, Teachers Pay Teachers and Tes.
- School licences, which we invoice directly to your school.
- Consultancy, training and speaking, agreed with you in writing.
If you buy through Teachers Pay Teachers or Tes, that marketplace’s own terms also apply, including its refund rules.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and include any VAT that applies. Online purchases are paid at checkout through our payment providers. School licences, consultancy and training are invoiced, and invoices are payable within 30 days unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Your licence to use our materials
All our courses, films and resources remain our property. When you buy, you receive a licence to use them as set out below. You may not resell, share publicly, upload to other websites or use them to train AI tools.
- Courses: for the person enrolled only. Log ins must not be shared.
- Single teacher packs: for the person who bought the pack, to use with their own classes. Colleagues need their own copy or a school licence.
- Prefect, INSET and toolkit packs: for use within one school, by its staff.
- Film access codes: for showing the film to classes and staff in your own school. Please do not share codes outside your school.
- School licences: for the school named on the invoice, for the number of staff and the period stated on it.
You may print and adapt resources for use in your own school, provided our name and copyright notices stay on them.
Cancellations and refunds
Online courses, digital downloads and film access: if you change your mind, email us within 14 days of buying and we will refund you in full.
School licences: you may cancel within 14 days of the invoice date for a full refund.
Faulty or missing content: if anything you bought does not work or is not as described, tell us and we will fix it, replace it or refund you. This does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
Consultancy, training and speaking
Each engagement is agreed in a written proposal or booking confirmation setting out the work, fees, dates and cancellation terms. If those documents conflict with these terms, the proposal or booking confirmation applies.
Leaders’ Circle and live chat
Please be respectful and professional, and do not post information that identifies students, colleagues or schools without permission. We may remove posts or access that break these rules.
About our guidance
Our courses and resources share practical experience of school leadership. They are not legal, HR, financial or safeguarding advice. Always follow your school’s policies, local law and statutory guidance, and take professional advice where needed.
Our responsibility to you
We take care to make our materials accurate and useful, but we cannot promise that they will suit every school or context. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. For business customers, including schools, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses or loss of profit.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in place when you buy apply to that purchase. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home courts.
